In 2023, I participated in the MUMC+ Hackathon at Maastricht UMC (University Medical Centre). My group's task was to raise awareness about the challenges non-electrical wheelchair users face at night and raise their visibility during commutes. My task was to create scenes illustrating this problem by using and altering online assets, lighting adjustments, and scanning my own asset (the wheelchair user) using Polycam 3D. This project taught me to manage my time efficiently, enhancing my quick thinking and solution-oriented thinking. I also developed expertise in positioning, quick asset discovery, scanning usable assets with a phone, adjusting light sources, and effective camera work using Blender and Unreal Engine 5.
